Ramon Corona Organic Garden Fundraiser - Saturday December 6th, 2014 at 3 p.m. Huerto Cafe, Riberas Del Pilar, Mexico

We greeted the day with anticipation, excitement and joy.  The date for our garden funraiser had arrived and we set to work preparing for our Children's Organic Garden Fundraiser for the Ramon Corona Elementary School's 4th Grade garden in Chapala, Jalisco Mexico.

Our host was Huerto Cafe, located on the carretera in Riberas Del Pilar.  Huerto Cafe has everything you need to create your urban agricultural garden. They also serve as an excellent cafeteria and wine bar, hosting gardening classes and seminars.

Our delightful volunteer Valerie greeted our guests at the gate and took garden tool donations.

Right at 3 p.m. guests started arriving.

Our Silent Auction table was ready, as were our greeters.

Delicious food, lovingly prepared, was waiting for our hungry guests

As our musicians serenaded us all and filled the air with song.

The proprietress of Huerto Cafe, Rocio saw to all the details.

Just as the afternoon commenced a Tango rang out and 2 of our guest jumped up to expertly entertain us.  It was a beautiful performance.

Our photo exhibition gave our guests a small glance of the progress of the school garden project.

Maestra Alma arrives with the Ramon Corona Ballet Folklorico troupe.

The audience watched as the select group of dancers took the stage.

To enthusiastic applause, the well trained dancers mesmerized the audience. The small troupe was, nevertheless, excellent!

We were greeted with a short selection of dances.

The dancers seemed to enjoy the afternoon's performance as well.

Truly a thing of beauty!

As the afternoon quickly progressed, it soon was time to say Buenas Tardes and thank all the people who so selflessly gave of their time, energy and resources to make the fundraiser a success.

We all, as well as the children of the Ramon Corona Elementary School in Chapala, want to say Gracias.

We truly appreciate your support of our organic garden project.

Thank you for helping us Plant A Seed of Hope and Change.

Enaj, Simohn y Francisco
